Overview

While a greater proportion of women are surviving breast cancer, treatment for breast cancer creates many consequences. Women and their partners may continue to experience problems as they attempt to resume functional activities and meaningful roles, yet supportive care focusses largely on medical needs.

Join our webinar to explore the findings of Sharon Keesing’s PhD (2019) and examine the potential role of Occupational Therapy in cancer survivorship.

Sharon Keesing is an Occupational Therapist, Lecturer and Researcher at Curtin University. Her research interests include cancer survivorship, palliative care and the role of carers/spouses during these critical periods of illness and recovery.

Presented by

Dr Sharon Keesing, Director of Learning and Teaching Lecturer, Occupational Therapy, Social work and Speech Pathology
